Salary £18,907 - £22,845 (SCP22-28).
The Council's Performance and Policy Unit has four dedicated staff working on Welsh Language issues on behalf of the Council, covering advice and guidance on language policy matters, all translation work between English and Welsh and corporately arranging language training.
A vacancy has arisen in the training post to cover a fixed term period of maternity leave until 31st July 2009. The postholder's main duties will be to coordinate the provision of Welsh Language, British Sign Language and Deaf Equality Training to staff, members, external partners and community members and also to teach Welsh language taster courses.
Applications for part-time cover will be considered. The ability to speak and write in both Welsh and English is essential.
